Free professional assessment before your first lesson
Fluency doesn't come from a textbook. It comes from being understood, one real conversation at a time.Jane Clarkson, Founder & Teacher

Before lesson one
A professional assessment shows exactly where you're starting, so nothing is left to guesswork.
How lessons are built
A plan made for you, not the other twenty students in a workbook.
Before your first lesson, we will meet for a professional assessment. It tells us exactly where you're starting, so we're not guessing.
From there, Jane builds your plan herself, pulled from years of her own material and shaped around what you actually want to talk about.
She checks in on your progress regularly and adjusts the plan as you go. If something isn't working, it changes.
One-on-one, always.
No classrooms, no waiting for slower classmates, no rushing to keep up. Every minute of every lesson belongs to you.
Progress you can measure
Your level isn't a feeling. It's tested, tracked, and used to guide every lesson from the start.
Built from real material
Jane's curriculum comes from a decade of teaching experience, not a template she downloaded.
Progress you can see
Plans shift as you improve, so lessons never feel like they're stuck in the same place.

What Students Say
Lessons they look forward to
Jane is the best Spanish tutor I could have asked for. She's incredibly thorough, especially with beginners, and doesn't just teach vocabulary and grammar—she helps you understand the reasoning behind the language so you sound natural when speaking or writing, not just technically correct. She's professional, patient, and endlessly friendly, and along the way she's become more than a tutor—she's become a friend. I highly recommend her. You won't be disappointed, and you'll find yourself looking forward to every lesson.

I dream about the day that I can converse with native speakers confidently because I want to really get to know people. I want to get beyond basic tourist conversations in Spanish. While visiting Mexico, I found Jane and took several in person classes with her. Immediately, I knew that I wanted to stay connected and keep learning from her. Now I'm doing weekly online video classes and I look forward to it every time. Jane is the ultimate professional. She understands what I need to work on and presents each topic clearly. I'm a psychologist and teacher and I understand the science of learning. Jane understands this too and uses repetition, spaced practice and retrieval methods to ensure success. She is not only a fantastic teacher but also a fabulous human.
I've had several Spanish teachers who have all been wonderful but I find it especially helpful to work with someone who is also a native English speaker as they are able to explain confusing concepts in a way that makes more sense to a native English speaker. If you want to learn and enjoy the process please reach out to her!
